Episode 27: Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire

Welcome to the D-Constructing Topics podcast, where we deconstruct topics and discuss many things. In the month we celebrate Women's International Day, we go over one of the most important events that changed the labor movement and workplace safety. On March 25, 1911, a fire took place, which took the lives of factory workers; of those who lost their lives, 146 workers, 123 were women who were planning to organize the factory and fight for better conditions and wages. We discuss this horrific event and its critical time in American history.

Welcome to the D-Constructing Topics podcast, where we deconstruct topics and discuss many things. In this episode, we remembered one of the late Kobe Bryant's lessons. The former NBA basketball player passed away on January 26, 2020, but left a legacy of his greatness as a player and a thinker, as he always lived by the ten rules for success. Since there is so much to dissect, we began with lessons 10 and 9 and discussed how they apply to our everyday lives. As always in my podcast, saving a mind is saving a life.

Welcome to the D-Constructing Topics podcast, where we deconstruct topics and discuss many things. In this episode, we discuss the Pat Tillman story; after watching the documentary "Tillman Story," we uncover the cover-up of the US government from the original story to the real story that Tillman's family exposed. Pat Tillman gave up millions of dollars to join the fight for our freedom after the 9/11 attacks. He lost his life during combat in Afghanistan, but in reality, the truth was more sinister and a reason why some Army stories have never been told for a reason. We also go over briefly Aaron Bushnell, Air Force active duty self-immolated in protest of the terror that was happening in Palestine.

Podcast update and 2024 Journey!

Welcome to the D-Constructing Topic Podcast. Today, we discuss a few things happening: podcast and life updates. I have been dealing with health issues for the last month or so, and now that I feel better, I want to share a few things that have happened since the previous podcast as I embark on a journey to become the best version of myself in 2024. I discuss the possibility of possibly running for office in 2025 as I aim for a possible run for Mayor of NYC; I also shut out to Jose Vega, who is running for Congress in NY15, Bronx, who has reignited that fire in me to make a run, perhaps. So stay tuned! So many great things are headed our way!

We often feel that we want to do so much and make changes in our lives, yet we think that something is bothering us, and it's the feeling that we have a dark cloud hanging over our heads. This feeling that something terrible is always happening to us and turn our growth can be hard to overcome. We get into story time and how to find a middle ground while addressing that dark cloud hanging over our heads. It can be a traumatic experience or something an issue to deal with at the moment. We shall hold our heads up, and whenever we feel that we have cloud hanging, we can pull out our sunglasses together and feel like it's a sunny day after!
