Welcome to D-Constructing Topics podcast where we D-Construct topics and today’s episode we examine how sometimes our beliefs contradicts our political views, and we find ourselves in a conundrum giving up our values over politics. We go over few perhaps controversial point of views but in this podcast we going to find the hypocrisy in politics and how the mainstream to social media become a mouth piece of the uni-party(democrats and republicans). These entities force you to hold you hostage and putting you values on the side for the sake of putting them in power. It’s time we stand up together and wake up to fight the elite in which your issues don’t matter to them.

The democrats, and republicans has done enough damage that it’s time to call them out and go on alternate route voting 3rd party, independent, or just not voting at all. Welcome to D-Constructing Topics podcast where we D-Construct topics and todays episode we examine the story of Kalief Browder and how politicians weaponized migrants to destroy black communities. Kalief Browder (May 25, 1993 – June 6, 2015) was an African American youth from The Bronx, New York, who was held at the Rikers Island jail complex, without trial, between 2010 and 2013 for allegedly stealing a backpack containing valuables. During his imprisonment, Browder was in solitary confinement for 700 days. Two years after his release, Browder hanged himself at his parents' home. His case has been cited by activists campaigning for reform of the New York City criminal justice system and has attracted widespread attention in the years following his death. Kalief Browder was accused by two migrant kids which ultimately was not true and politicians tend to use migrants to pit against black neighborhoods and destroy them instead of helping the cause.

Stockholm syndrome is a psychological response typically displayed in victims of kidnapping, hostage situations, and abuse. Though Stockholm syndrome is still being heavily studied and is not yet officially considered a disorder, most psychologists and other medical professionals agree that it is likely an emotional and behavioral coping mechanism victims develop to adapt to and survive the trauma they are living through by trying to appease their captors to avoid violence.

Empathy Fosters Connection 
Empathy is defined as “the feeling that you understand and share another person’s experiences and emotions” or “the ability to share someone else’s feelings.” It is looking at things from another person’s perspective and attempting to understand why they feel the way they do. 
Empathy is not easy. It requires a tremendous amount of vulnerability to listen without judgment and see yourself in another person’s struggle. Empathy can be uncomfortable especially when you are supporting someone in a dark time.
